Edmonton Cenotaph

A gull rests atop the war memorial. The Cenotaph, initially unveiled in August, 1936, is currently situated in front of Edmonton City Hall and has come to memorialize "Our Glorious Dead" from both World War I and II, as well as the Korean War. It is constructed from concrete, steel and British Columbian marble, weighs 100 tons and stands 23 feet tall.
